ABSTRACT

Premature delivery is one of the direct factors that affect the early development and safety of infants. Its direct clinical manifestation is the change of uterine contraction intensity and frequency. Uterine Electrohysterography(EHG) signal collected from the abdomen of pregnant women can accurately and effectively reflect the uterine contraction, which has higher clinical application value than invasive monitoring technology such as intrauterine pressure catheter. Therefore, the research of fetal preterm birth recognition algorithm based on EHG is particularly important for perinatal fetal monitoring. We proposed a convolution neural network(CNN) based on EHG fetal preterm birth recognition algorithm, and a deep CNN model was constructed by combining the Gramian angular difference field(GADF) with the transfer learning technology. The structure of the model was optimized using the clinical measured term-preterm EHG database. The classification accuracy of 94.38% and F1 value of 97.11% were achieved. The experimental results showed that the model constructed in this paper has a certain auxiliary diagnostic value for clinical prediction of premature delivery.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the active compounds of Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid for the treatment of coronavirus desease 2019 (COVID-19) by network pharmacology and molecular docking. Methods: The chemical constituents and action targets of Atractylodes chinensis, Citrus reticulata, Magnolia officinalis, Angelica dahurica, Poria cocos, Areca catechu, Pinellia ternata, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Pogostemon cablin and Perilla frutescens were retrieved from TCMSP. Uniprot database was used to search the corresponding genes of targets, then Cyoscape 3.7.2 software was used to construct the network of medicinal materials-compound-target (gene) for visualization; GO function enrichment analysis and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis were performed through DAVID to predict its mechanism of action, and histograms and bubble maps were plotted by Prism software and Omicshare database for visualization. Results: The network of medicinal materials-compound-target contained 10 medicinal materials, 123 compounds and 257 corresponding target genes, and the key target genes involved PTGS2, HSP90AB1, AR, CAMSAP2, PPARG, NOS2, etc. GO functional enrichment analysis resulted in 278 GO entries (P < 0.05), including 178 biological processes (BP) entries and 36 cellular component (CC) entries, and 64 molecular function (MF) entries. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis revealed that there were 119 (P < 0.05) signaling pathways involving Hepatitis B, small cell lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer and T cell receptor pathways. The results of molecular docking showed that the core compounds such as quercetin, isorhamnetin, irisolidone, kaempferol, wogonin, and baicalein were similar in affinity with the COVID-19 recommended medicine. Among them, quercetin, isorhamnetin and irisolidone had the strongest affinity. Conclusion: The compounds in Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid can combine with angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2) binding to PTGS2, HSP90AB1, AR, CAMSAP2 and other targets to regulate multiple signaling pathways, thus exerting a preventive or therapeutic effect on COVID-19.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To establish the fingerprint of standard decoction of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium and evaluate its quality. Method:According to the preparation conditions of the standard decoction,15 batches of standard decoction of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium were prepared.HPLC was employed to determine the content of hesperidin in this standard decoction.Ultraviolet spectroscopy(UV) and infrared spectroscopy(IR) were used to establish the fingerprint of standard decoction of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. The correlation coefficient method and double index sequence analysis method were used to compare and analyze the spectra of different batches of this standard decoction. Result:The content of hesperidin in 15 batches of this standard decoction were 0.82%-2.60%,and the measured value of dry extract rate was 32.02%-46.11%.Compared with ultraviolet and infrared control fingerprint, the fingerprint similarities of the standard decoction of each batch were > 0.897 and > 0.942,respectively.The double index analysis results showed that the common peak ratio was more than 62.50%,variation peak ratio was less than 46.67%. Conclusion:The quality evaluation method established in this study can be used for systematic evaluation of standard decoction of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, and it can provide theoretical reference for the formulation of quality standard of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium dispensing granules and other related preparations.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Totally 12 batches of Salvia miltiorrhiza stem and leaves were taken as the research object,in order to investigate the correlation between the chromatographic peaks and the blood circulation activity in the HPLC fingerprint, and establish and verify the activity spectrum-effect model based on enzyme activity. Method: HPLC method and fibrinogen plate method were used to determine the fingerprint and in vitro activity values of stems and leaves of S. miltiorrhiza in 6 batches. SPSS was used to establish its spectrum-effect model by the principal component analysis-correlation analysis-multiple linear regression analysis method, and six batches of S. miltiorrhiza stems and leaves were used to verify the model. Result: Totally 7 characteristic peaks were obtained in the fingerprints of S. miltiorrhiza leaves. Kendalls tau-b correlation analysis showed the correlations between the blood circulating activity of S. miltiorrhiza stems and leaves and the 7 characteristic peak areas. The steep slope map analysis showed five optimal principal components of the model, namely protocatechualdehyde, caffeic acid, common peak 5 (to be identified), rosmarinic acid and salvianolic acid B. Among them, protocatechualdehyde, common peak 5 and salvianolic acid B showed a positive correlation with the activity of blood circulation, while caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid showed a negative correlation with the activity of blood circulation, with low mean relative errors between the predicted value and the measured value. Conclusion: The blood circulation activity spectrum-effect model based on enzyme activity can predict the blood circulation activity of stems and leaves of S. miltiorrhiza.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To examine the hearing status of pre-job workers exposed to noise in metal manufacturing industries, and to analyze the related influencing factors. METHODS: A judgement sampling method was adopted to choose1 597 pre-job workers exposed to noise in metal manufacturing industries as the study subjects. The data of workers' occupational health examination was collected, and the influencing factors of hearing loss were analyzed. RESULTS: Among the 1 597 individuals,631( 39. 5%) cases reported occupational noise exposure history( noise exposure group) with the length of service of 0. 20( 0. 10-0. 30) years; 966( 60. 5%) cases denied occupational noise exposure history( no-noise exposure group). The hearing loss detection rate was 46. 1%( 737 /1 597); among them, the occupational contraindication detection rate was 13. 9%( 222 /1 597),and the detection rate of other kinds of hearing loss was 32. 2%( 515 /1 597).The detection rates in workers with occupational contraindication and the other kinds of hearing loss in noise exposure group were higher than those in the non-noise exposure group( 16. 5% vs 12. 2%,50. 6% vs 43. 3%,P < 0. 05). The male workers had higher incidence than female workers [the odds ratio( OR) were 1. 958 and 2. 331,respectively,P < 0. 01);the workers with age > 25 years had higher incidence than those with age ≤ 25 years( OR were 2. 390 and 2. 245,respectively,P < 0. 01); the noise exposure workers had higher incidence than non-noise exposure ones( OR were 1. 536 and 1. 287,respectively,P < 0. 05). CONCLUSION: Pre-job occupational health examination is helpful for early detection of occupational contraindication in noise exposure workers. Attention should be paid to the male workers, the older workers, and those with occupational noise exposure history when conducting occupational health examination.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the screening methods for identifying the populations susceptible and resistant to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and to provide a reference for future research.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Workers who were exposed to 75 ∼ 120 dB noise in enterprises were included in the study. Field investigation of occupational health was conducted; workers' basic information and data on hearing threshold levels were collected. Paired chi-square test was used to compare each two of three screening methods, which were used at home and abroad to identify noise-susceptible and noise-sensitive populations, in terms of noise exposure level, general information, and noise-induced hearing threshold shift.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>There were no significant differences in the noise exposure level, basic information, and left and right ears' hearing threshold levels of noise-susceptible and noise-sensitive populations between each two of the three screening methods (P > 0.05), according to the paired chi-square test. However, high-frequency hearing threshold had statistically significant difference among the three methods. As a whole, methods B and C were superior to method A.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The workers in China are younger than before, with more awareness of self-protection, and individual protection is enhanced in them. Currently, method B is more suitable for screening out the population susceptible to NIHL in China.</p>
